It’s been a busy month for us and as always we are working in all sectors – Corporates, Education, Charities and Community, plus our connections in Sports and Dance. Denise, assisted by Melissa, delivered an exciting Positive Parties® workshop at the end of August was for 135 Year 8’s (First Years) at St Mary’s College on their first day at school. The atmosphere was fabulous and the feedback great for the teachers and very Positive Principal Marie Lindsay. Our longstanding partnership with Co-operation Ireland continues with a full on porject with them and Generations 4 Peace this month. And we were back down to St Wolstan Community College in Co. Kildare delivering to Transition year students for the third year running.
On the 23rd Sept we have a table at Legal-Island’s NI HR Exchange Event in the Ramanda Hotel, Belfast. We are looking forward to this as Denise had a great response and fab feedback from the Positive Parties workshop she delivered to them in July during their Training & Development week. Do look at the video testimonials from Legal-Island’s Head of Training and Development, Scott Alexander on the @Work page and from Customer Relationship Consultant Allison Sutherland on the @Conference page. They both loved Positive Parties and are more than happy to endorse this @Training a Difference’ so we are delighted. Have a look on the Home page to see a short montage of how we deliver our workshops and notice what FUN the Legal-Island team are having.
There is lots of research to back up the way Positive Parties delivers its training. As Chan said in his research:
“A fun work environment promotes employee well-being in addition to fostering creativity, enthusiasm, satisfaction and communication among the organization’s employees. The research found in this study hopes to encourage implementing other work fun activities in other various industries in order to engage and retain positive employees.” – Chan S.C.H.,(2010) From – Does workplace fun matter? Developing a useable typology of workplace fun in a qualitative study. International Journal of Hospitality
So lots of exciting bookings ahead with Denise opening the Inspire Conference arranged by Strabane & Omagh District Councils on the 2nd Oct and bookings from Allianz, plus Pramerica, Tesco, are all in the pipeline. Also, we have team developments days for schools ‘health & well-being for staff’ booked in for this term and next. And Positive Parties Founder Denise Devlin has been nominated for the Strabane Business Awards for Female Entrepreneur of the Year, which will be announced at the Strabane Chamber Of Commerce Dinner on the 11th Oct 2014. Sending her positive vibes from all the team.
