Hi there, hope you have a wonderful summer! We were ‘walking the talk’ this year and took a good 6 weeks off from delivery. Although we did a good refresh & revamp of the Positive Parties website and other marketing bits and pieces, we generally took it easy from mid July to mid August and got straight back into the swing of things the first week in Sept. Our PR highlight of the summer was that Positive Parties Founder/CEO, Denise Devlin, was midnight guest on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Phil Williams Show, talking about life coaching, which was great news for Positive Parties.
So whats new? Well, our Founder/CEO, Denise Devlin, has completed her training and is now a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. This is a fantastic feature as an addition to Positive Parties workshops, packages and programmes. Plus Denise is planning to start up a laughter Club in the North West area.
As part of our new skills set, Denise is going to offer Primary Schools the chance to test the Laughter Yoga with the tools from Positive Parties in a new programme called ‘Positive Transfer – Ha Ha Ha.’ This will be a one off session or programme of a few session were the P7 pupils will be give the opportunity to learn tools to both keep them motivated and calm before and during the test. We will offer this out to schools in October coming up to the test in November.
Our Cooperation Ireland’s ‘Generations for Peace’ Programme in May & June, running workshops for primary school children and their grandparents & parents, encouraging and promoting positive connections & positive play was wonderful . We held a very successful full day in The Playhouse, Derry, one is The Alley Theatre, Strabane and one in The Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh. Both the pupils and the grandparents and parents loved the interaction, music, games and of course being together to learn tips and tools on positivity We have another one in the The Playhouse on the 16th Sept and it is being filmed by the Nerve Centre as a Showcase for Co-operation Ireland.
Our Apex Housing KISS (Keep It So Simple) Culture Positive Parties programme continues to flourish and it finishes up at the end of the month with the evaluation due to be completed in October. This had been a most enjoyable and humbling experience.
Our bookings for Positive Parties at corporate conferences and events, are coming in. We have our first autumn conference in Belfast on the 1st and 2nd October, so we are very excited about that.We guarantee a fun time whilst teaching tools and techniques which promote positive mental attitude, emotional intelligence and emotional resilience. Your staff certainly won’t ‘nod off’ after lunch if you book a Positive Parties session! And we don’t use power point. It’s all very interactive and loads of fun.
Plenty happening for Positive Parties for the months ahead. Work keeps coming in from regular customers who just keep coming back for more and we are getting lots of referrals too which is great. Eg, we were asked back to Co Kildare again this Sept for 3 full day sessions with St Wolstan Community School, Celbridge and the very well known Mcconomy Bradley Irish Dancing School (Scoil Rince Mccononmy Bradley) who continue to use Positive Parties services called on Denise to do positive coaching sessions with young dancers before the North West Championship
Positive Parties are now contributing to ‘Startacus, the self start society, Denise has written some interesting articles and was nominated Self Starter of the week beginning 9th Sept. Thank you Startacus, you are a very useful resource.
