May already! Wow, where does time go? Obviously faster when you are enjoying yourself and that is what we fully encourage at Positive Parties! Laugh and have fun whenever possible, don’t take yourself too seriously, learn from your mistakes, look after yourself, be healthy & keep spreading those positive vibes.
We were certainly doing that over the past month, from community organisations and support groups to staff team building sessions and business women. We have had a range of Positive Parties that have kept us on our toes including the staff team Rainbow SureStart -Drumquin, parents involved in Foyle Down Syndrome Trust & Sligo Women In Business Network etc. We are always ready to provide the ‘party style’ workshops and meet the customer/clients needs. We haven’t had any dissatisfied customers yet and we are always open to useful feedback. But as the NLP saying goes ‘there is no such thing as failure only feedback.’
Changes we have made in relation to useful feedback are that we now included a healthy option of refreshments at the party, to include fruit and cereal bars. This was suggested by teachers on a school development session Positive Party. There were some of them who were attending Slimming World and felt the party food was too tempting! We hadn’t really included it before as we wanted to keep the party atmosphere but now this is a perfect match of nice memories party nibbles (for a once off) and the good foods that we need daily to keep us healthy and full of energy.
Another suggestion was that we use some more high tech elements during ou workshops ie people today expect PowerPoint presentations. Well this is where we went back to the basics to where we started from and stuck to our principles of ‘sorry but NO!’ The whole point of Positive Parties is that it is different from any other training provider and we are sticking to KISS (keeping it so simple!). There are plenty of coaching/leadership/training organisations out there who use Power Point, some very effectively but others can be quite boring after watching for a while. That’s why Positive Parties is so UNIQUE. We provide fun and interactive workshops with great learning tools & techniques from NLP & CBT on how to be more positive BUT we do it simply through FUN!
We are off to have more fun this month when we deliver our first Positive Party GFI (Go For It) programme to schools in the North West. We are piloting this programme this year so we are contacting certain schools, who we have heard through a very Positive Principal we know, that may be interested. Our first Primary 7 PP GFI is a joint one of 2 P7 classes from 2 different schools coming together in the village and its cross community too, which is fantastic. Can’t get any more positive than that!!
The summer term is always a good time for staff team building so do check out the new Positive Programme link on the @work page.
