Its February folks and in the commercial world it’s the month of love!!! Its plain to see that the shops are full of valentine cards, cuddly toys etc while florists begin to put their prices up and although it’s all very pleasant it can also be expensive too. Why does ‘just’ February have to be about love, isn’t love all around us all the time?
Everyone wants love; it’s the universal medium of exchange. Is there anything more satisfying than being fully present in the moment, with people we care about? Make friends with yourself, then spread the love. Loving relationships are the music of life. We’d be fools not to learn the tunes.
So moving on from love, it’s all happening here at Positive Parties HQ. And one needs to add that the HQ stands for Heart Quarters, not Head Quarters, because the whole ethos of Positive Parties comes from and is guided by the heart, not the head! The creativity for the name Heart Quarters is accredited to Parent Coach, Fiona Mooney Glass in Canada, a close friend of Founder, Denise Devlin.
Positive Parties on facebook is now up and running three weeks and since the fb launch there are new ‘Likes’ every day and great feedback from the daily quotes, thoughts and positive thinking tips. If you haven’t done so already please join us on facebook by clicking onto the fb symbol at the bottom of the website, then click the ‘Like’ thumb at the top of the Positive Parties page. Today more photographs were added from the Positive Party held at Shepherd’s View Young Parents Project for the Staff Team.
On the 18th Jan from 3.30pm to 7.30pm, fifteen Shepherd’s View staff ‘partied on down’ while gaining new tips and techniques on how to be more positive at the same time. There was lots of fun and laughter. In fact there was so much joviality at one stage, Denise had a pain in her side from laughing.
Tracy Healy, the Shepherd’s View Project Manager sent Denise an email the next day saying, “It was a really great experience to share with the staff and I feel we all achieved what we wanted on the day, so many thanks.”
We have had other parties and more bookings are coming in for work places, community organizations, schools and @home parties. Not everyone wants to be on facebook or ‘latest news’ though so we have to respect our customer’s wishes and only publicize parties when we get permission to do so.
