The Pink Ladies enjoyed a night of film, popcorn and yoga (in that order!!) at the 4th Positive Party in their 6 session Positive Parties programme at The Gasyard Centre.
The ladies arrived, had a catch up, put on their name badges and added their favourite exercise below their names. Most mentioned swimming and walking. Deirdre prefers keep fit to music and we’ll not mention what Michelle said!!
The night kicked off with 45 minutes ‘chill out’ time while watching “The Secret” DVD. All the positive messages were taken on board and everyone is now aware that ‘thoughts become reality’ and how important it is to have an attitude of gratitude etc. A few of the ladies already had the book and Geraldine even had the DVD but watching it as a group had a much bigger impact, plus it was lots of fun. Everyone especially enjoyed munching away at the popcorn. The two Gerladines had great will power and resisted!! The rest of us made up for them though!
At 8.15pm the lovely John Bell arrived and we moved over to the school hall and spent the next hour connecting with our mind, bodies and spirit (life inside of us). John is amazing and I would recommend his classes to everyone (www.johnbell-yoga.co.uk). He had us laughing, moving, stretching, saying our positive affirmations, laughing, more laughing and of course doing deep relaxation at the end. The whole yoga session was wonderful and we all had a brilliant time. Thank you John for sharing your vitality & good humour and the generosity of your donation to the Norhtland Centre as you payment.
Kathleen won the raffle prize which was a yoga DVD and book. No excuses now Kathleen!! You’ll be a yoga queen in no time!
So after a ‘full on’ evening of positivity for mind, body and spirit everyone went home at 9.45pm, tired yet exhilarated and full of optimism. The Pink Ladies headed home to get some beauty sleep before attending the ‘Time of Me’ event in the City Hotel the next day. They have the times of it!!
The next event in the Pink Ladies PP programme is Positive Party no.5 – ‘Positive Cooking’ at My Little Kitchen Cookery School. Greysteel on Tuesday 23rd November 2010.
